SHARED EQUITY

No more renting: Platypus have introduced a Shared Equity structure to assist people into home ownership where they may be short on the deposit or where the monthly income restricts the borrowing capacity.

For example, you have a 5% deposit but can only borrow 80% therefore a shortfall of 15% makes it impossible to proceed. Platypus shared equity may provide the 15% difference at settlement so you can complete the purchase and move in.

INVESTORS NOTE: This facility is also available to investors and SMSFs.

You will enter into a ten-year agreement with Platypus with
NO INTEREST or MOTHLY REPAYMENT OBLIGATION. The option to increase your equity during the ten year term or buy out Platypus at the end of that period, roll over the arrangement into a new agreement or sell the property completely at your discretion. 
 
The concept provides the opportunity to buy your own home and move in, and enjoy living in your own home while you continue to save. 

This facility is currently available on preselected properties in Sydney, Queensland with the intention of expanding into Melbourne, Canberra and Brisbane. 

This opportunity is available to owner-occupiers, first home buyers and investors subject only to meeting Platypus' assessment criteria.
