Ian Hopkins has had a varied career as property researcher, property innovator, population geneticist, manager, and as a financial analyst with mathematical/statistical skills and experience.
 
As Head of Research for Property Investment Research, an independent research house, Ian analysed the investment merits of many different types of public offers in property and developed PIR’s unique investment rating system.
 
Over the last decade Ian has developed and honed the Synergy Affordable Housing concept which is now licensed to Platypus.
 
As Principal of The Australian Property Information Centre, Ian was responsible for Australia’s first hedonic house price indices and the publication of the unique ‘The Houseseeker’s Price Guide to Melbourne’.
 
Ian has developed a Lifetime Property Wealth Planner (LPWP), a Markowitz blueprint for achieving financial goals by accumulating wealth through property investment over an individual’s lifetime. The LPWP combines a lifetime property accumulation plan with all sources of income and expenditure to provide unprecedented clarity of vision for long term security and lifestyle needs – and the likelihood of achieving those objectives.
 
Ian headed up the early development of the Australian Dairy Herd Improvement Scheme (ADHIS) as manager of a team of mathematical statisticians and IT engineers on behalf of the Victorian government.
 
Ian has published numerous peer-reviewed papers in international journals.
